Seasonal Allergies Social and Digital Animated Ads

Henry Ford Primary Care was facing significant competition from minute clinics and other quick care services for treatments, including for seasonal allergies. These competitors often staff clinics through advance practice providers, such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants, but at Henry Ford Health, patients can see a physician the same day, either in person at one of its outpatient clinics or within 10 minutes via a video visit.

To promote these benefits, we developed a social animation ad that used a compelling “Wheel of Symptoms” interface, highlighting the most common seasonal allergy symptoms and underscoring all of the same-day options available at Henry Ford Health. We paired this with a digital high resolution HTML5 ad campaign that used compelling stock imagery with animated type transitions, to convey these benefits quickly. We used short, direct headlines on each frame to help these stand out from many other healthcare ads, which tend to be copy heavy and include type that’s small and difficult to read.

The Wheel of Symptoms social animation and digital HTML5 ads performed well and helped serve as a template for developing new campaigns for other service line and regional clients at Henry Ford Health.
